It’s been a busy couple of weeks here with a lovely spring wedding coming up very soon, and also making plans to shoot the “Our Stars” awards evening at The DW Stadium in a few weeks time. (Keep an eye out for lots of pics)
We have also launched our new YouTube channel and been doing lots of work improving the website, so I was pretty chuffed when I got an email from Photography Week magazine who had seen some of my images on Flickr and wanted to use them in some of their publications.
Naturally, I was made up to have been asked, and it was great to see 2 images from a recent London trip be featured in the magazine published on 30th April, and then again just 2 weeks later in the 14th May edition.
The first image they chose was one taken at Bank underground station of the very long moving walkway that goes down to the Waterloo & City line – luckily I didn’t have to wait long to get a nice shot with no one in the way 🙂
The second image that was featured in the 14th May issue, was taken not too far away from Bank, but this time it is at street level, and is of one of the more unusual buildings in London – The Lloyds Building, near Leadenhall market is a very modern structure with a lot of metal and pipes etc on the outside. The shot I took was one corner of the building and I had in mind the black and white edit before I got the shot.
It’s always nice to see your work in print, and this has inspired me to come up with lots of new ideas which hopefully might get published in the future.
