This was our last wedding of the year, and to make it even more special, it was just 5 days before Christmas. The wedding ceremony was to be held at St. Oswald’s church in Lower Peover with the reception at The Belle Époque in Knutsford.
I have known Charlotte and Tom for a long time and the planning and build up to their wedding seems to have been coming for ever, but at the same time seems to have crept up all at once.
The day started early with the girls getting their hair and make-up done, and there was a lovely relaxed and fun atmosphere. Once they were all dressed we had a bit of time to get some fun shots before we had to head off to the church to meet Tom and the boys.
As it was the middle of December, the weather and lighting was against us for the whole day. It was raining and dull, but this didn’t hamper the excitement and anticipation of the guests arriving at the church.
The Vicar at the church was really good – a very modern and informal service with Christmas carols! I also had the pleasure of working with Dean and Dawn from Willow Video Productions. They were very easy to work with and shot loads of footage throughout the day.
Due to the heavy rain, everyone made a dash for it after the service over to Belle Époque in Knutsford – a very unique venue which was beautifully decorated for Christmas and made for some great photo backdrops.
The drinks and canapés were well under way by the time the bride and groom arrived and we took the chance to get all the group photos before we lost the light at 3:30pm
The speeches were very entertaining from the father of the bride, the groom, the groom’s father and the best man, before the evening reception got under way.
We had a great day shooting this wedding – the bride and groom were brilliant and very relaxed and everyone in attendance was partying well into the night.
Here is a selection of photos from the day. . . .
